Another beautiful exhibition of the first year students education Creative Craftsman of Friesland College. To be seen until February 17 at the Exhibitionhall of the Blokhuispoort, next to Lies Ceramics studio. Some of them took the challenge to combine ceramics with wood, someone else polished work and yet another student made a very detailed picture of a bird on a mug. And much more.

We, from Lies Keramiek, will be in the beautiful ceramics museum Princessehof in Leeuwarden next weekend and give a demonstration how to throw on the wheel, and a children's workshop where you can throw your own bowl and create your own great piece of art. Come and visit the Princessehof April 5 and 6 (11am - 5 pm)
Since October 1, 2013 Annigje van der Veen has been a part-time employee at Lies Keramiek. She is the first one in 2012 who graduated in the art of ceramics at the Friesland College in Leeuwarden. She studied Creative Craftsmanship with specialization: ceramics. I am very happy with this enthusiastic, inspiring coworke
A video recorded interview about my work in the studio of Lies Keramiek in the Blokhuispoort.
Just for the press photographer - because the new Fries Museum will not be officially opened until September - children take the workshop area in use with Clay Stools, specially-made by Ronald and me. Nice to see how the children sit on it in different ways. It turns out there are three different ways :)
Mother of the birthday girl wrote: we were welcomed in a lovely and snug room with wonderful, homemade artwork. After some explanation by Lies, everybody threw their own cup and also made a nameplate. Half way through, some lemonade with all sorts of treats. After 3 weeks we could pick up our own creations, which will be a lovely memory forever. We had a wonderful afternoon. Price quality, thumbs up.
