2 day RAKU workshop

The 2 day Raku workshop was very nice! Lies is someone with a lot of experience and knowledge and at thesame time she understands the art of letting everyone follow her own "clay" process. With minimal instructions, she knows how to get the best out of everyone. It ensured that I was. That got me completely absorbed in the process of creating. So delighful after a busy week. With an empty head and a satisfied feeling I drove back to Amsterdam in the evening. The environment in which the workshop was given is also fantastic. It is a sensation to be in the old prison of Leeuwarden. The ceramicstudio of Lieskeramiek is extremely inspiring. You can get ideas and at the same time admire Lies' craftswomanship. Thanks also to her husband Paul, who was main stoker of the Raku activity on day 2. Raku firing is a wonderful, amazing process where it was really exciting how our creations came out. I heard many ohhhhhs and ahhhhhs that day. Thank you Lies for your warm presence, guidance, the delicious lunch andthe nice conversations in between. See you next year! Greetings, Barbara
